About Naadira AlliSouth African born singer, Naadira Alli was born on 22 May 1993 and is the third youngest of seven siblings. This well-rounded young ladu excels at everything she attempts, making parents, Haadia and Mohammed Rafiq, very proud. Naadira’s talent was first identified by Zain Bhikha’s current producer, Jeremy Karodia, who was previously her music teacher at her primary school. Before she was invited to perform on Zain’s latest release, “Allah Knows”, she enjoyed singing casually and exclusively to family members only. Initially, Naadira was chosen as part of the children choral group for the album but her beautiful voice stood out and Zain identified as the ideal solo voice for his song “My Mom is Amazing”. From there, she dueted on “Pizza in His Pocket” and “A Child’s Prayer” with Zain’s son, Rashid. Though young, Naadira shows considerable maturity and is able to adapt her singing style to suit the genre of the various songs. Naadira has participated in many school productions, taking a lead role in most. During 2006, she was the key narrator in her school’s concert, A History of Music. Last year, she played the role of Rafiki in her schools interpretation of the well known production, The Lion King. Apart from being a budding singer, she has also been the top achiever at school from Grade 1. Naadira is also constantly being complimented for her excellence in the recitation of the Holy Quran. Naadira’s other accomplishments include being awarded “Player of the Year” by her football club, Rangers Football Club. In her spare time she enjoys candle making, beadwork, reading and swimming.
